The Vocations Committee was started 10 years ago by the Bishop.  This committee makes use of opportunities to talk to the youth of the parish about a vocation to the priesthood and religious life.  The Committee works with youth individually and in groups. 

The Vocations Committee focuses its activities in two important aspects.  In the fall, the committee sends cards to retired priests and also to the seminarians of our diocese.  Through cooperation with the Knights of Columbus as a sponsor, the committee also sends monetary gifts to these priests and seminarians.

In January the committee sponsors a vocations essay contest in the school.  Meetings are held three times a year.
