The definition of catechesis is "a book that presents Catholic doctrine." This program is much more than just teaching dry facts. It is a living vibrant gathering of the faithful who are seeking knowledge and how to put that knowledge into their lived experience.
We are missionary disciples. We want to learn how to live our lives as full, active participants in our Church and in our communities. Our program is founded on the following principles:
1) Prayer - We offer our thoughts, actions, and intentions through the practice of formal prayer as well as informal prayer.
2) Creed - We learn how the Church is one, holy, Catholic and apostolic Church through our exploration of the Trinity, development of the Church and the Sacramental life of all disciples.
3) Liturgy - We gather as a community to celebrate and receive the gift of the Eucharist in order to become Christ to all we encounter.
4) Commandments - We discover the richness of the commands of God through our acceptance of what we are called to do in order to become richer in our love for God and others as well as ourselves.
We invite your children from 1 through 8th grade to participate in our Religious Education program. Classes for Grades 1-8 are held on Tuesday evenings from 6:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
