Lent is meant to empty ourselves of the needless things that prevent virtue to enter our lives. The Church always recommends Prayer, Fasting and Almsgiving as assured practices for the soul and heart to rid of sin, needless attractions and selfishness in order to make room for God.
Please take advantage of this holy time whereby the Universal Church comes together to be purified for the complete joy of Christ’s Resurrection. We need to be renewed in so many ways. Now is the opportunity to begin. With blessings upon you to make the Lent you need. Visit SJBDEorg/Lent for more. Father Joe Piekarski, Pastor

Prayer to St. Joseph, the Protector of the Church:
Father, you entrusted our Savior to the care of Saint Joseph. By the help of his prayers may your Church continue to serve its Lord,
Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.
